Product reviews...
I like chocolate. I like it a lot. I am the first to admit that I probably have a chocolate addiction problem lol I buyfar to much of any kind of chocolate and possibly deserve to have shares in a few different chocolate companies. However Wonker is not one of the companies I should have shares in lol
I find the wonka brands of chocolate and lollies to be just a wee bit sweet for me. The price is fine, the flavours fine, it is just sweet. In all reality this is actually a good thing, because it means the liklihood of my sitting and scoffing an entire block in one sitting is greatly reduced hehe and this is actually a really good thing for both my waist line and my husbands wallet.
Wonka choc tales is a simple block of milk chocolate, but unlike other milk chocolates this one has a fun twist.. Like most wonka products there has to be that something that makes it stand out above the rest. And in this case, that uniqueness and fun that wonka is so well known for, is shown in this block of choc by way of a story. Yes that is right, not only is it chocolate but its a story too. Each piece lovingly displays part of the story lol read it then eat it...the perfect block of choc for a nice relaxing bubble bath, when you want a treat and a good book...its all right there in the block.
My kids thought this was a pretty cool block of choc. Visually appealing, nice crafted and fun. What more could you ask for? Lol :)
For some reason when I read the description I thought it was going to be like the snack bars where each block has a different center so was rather looking forward to tasting it, I still loved it even though the whole block is one taste. I started off reading the story on each block before eating it or giving to my kids to eat but after a while I lost the story so just ate it.
I'm looking forward to trying some of the other flavours as I enjoy my chocolate, have never found one I don't like but some are much better than others.
I might have a look for a recipe using chocolate chips in but not chocolate chip cookies and take the time to grate this up and be adventurous in my baking, the kids often offer to do the grating of ingredients for me but that is because then it makes it easier for them to sneak a taste.
Would definitely buy again and going to be trying the other flavours without expecting things that aren't always there.
I remember back in my young years the bars of Wonka Choc Fudge Sludge it used to be my favourite chocolate bar and then the range got discontinued never to be found again which made me very sad. So when this new range of Wonka chocolate was released I was very excited and bought a block to try as soon as I could. The block was on special for $2.99 so even better to get a bargain and a huge block to share with the family.
This one is just plain milk chocolate which I liked although I am very keen to try the triple chocolate whipple which I think sounds most like the Choc Fudge Sludge bars from years gone by. The novel thing about this chocolate is that it is made into the shape of a book. My daughter thought this was really cool and made sure she had a good look before we ripped into it and started eating.
All in all very impressed with the release of new wonka bars a nd can't wait to try the rest of the range so watch this space :)
