This little cafe is located just a few minutes from my house in Te Puna so quite convenient to pop out too when you fancy having lunch and a coffee out as we are rural there isn't much out here and it is nice to have somewhere to go without driving all the way into town. We have only been to Cafe Paradiso a handful of times but every time has been a pleasant experience.
The thing I noticed each time we have been there is most of the people eating there are older people, of the pensioner age but the staff are all young and very friendly. I can see why the cafe would appeal to the older generation as it is very peaceful and has nice surrounding gardens and a wood burner inside in the winter that gives it a warm homely feel.
The menu isn't huge but there is enough choice to satisfy everyone's taste including the kids with chips and nuggets and plenty of different cakes. I find the prices pretty reasonable too and on a par with what most cafe's would be. I can highly recommend the chicken, camembert, and cranberry open sandwich, which is delicious and is served on the nicest turkish style bread. The coffee is really nice too which always means a lot to me.

Salsa Vaquera (VA-KAY-RA), or "Cowboy Salsa" adds a dash of the wild west to your Mexican meal. With tomato, black beans, corn, jalapeno and cracked black pepper, this hearty salsa is delicious on top of nachos, in your burrito, spooned over a taco, or eaten with a handful of Tio Pablo Totopito Tortilla Chips.
