Usbourne Cloth Books Baby Dinosaur product reviews

This is a reformatted edition in the "Usborne Cloth Books" series. Illustrated by Rachel Wells, creator of the best-selling "Usborne That's not my..." series, this book has huge appeal for babies and very young children and provides a perfect introduction to books. Children will love following Diddy the baby dinosaur as he hatches from his egg and follows a footprint trail to find his family. The new size of the book and the soft fabric are perfect for little hands to hold.

This is one of the first books my son was given when he was born and it is so so cute. I love the cloth books for little babies as they are easier for them to hold and look at, they can't hurt them selves when they wave the book around and the best thing is the book doesn't get damaged as they can't rip the pages. He had a few of these cloth books but this one was my favourite.

When he got a bit older he became more interested in board books, and now likes longer picture books where he can cuddle in and listen to a whole story but lately this book has made a come back and he likes it because I let him take it to bed with him when he has his nap. It is perfect for this as it gives him something to look at while he is getting sleepy but it is soft enough to have in the cot with him.

The story itself is just a simple one where a baby dinosaur hatches from his egg and follows the footprints through various places before finding his brothers and sisters that had left the trail of footprints. There are little flaps to open and some of them make crinkly noises when you touch them, and the footprints themselves are textured to so gives a bit of a sensory experience to young babies.

Product image for Polity AgentSpace opera on a magnificent, non-stop roller-coater of action.

From 800 years in the future, a runcible gate is opened into the Polity and those coming through it have been sent specially to take the alien 'Maker' back to its home civilization in the Small Magellanic cloud. Once these refugees are safely through, the gate itself is rapidly shut down - because something alien is pursuing them. The gate is then dumped ... more...
