Little Princess - Who Wants to Play? product reviews

Little Princess is a children's animated television series.

Little Princess is full of energy, charm and questions about how the world works. As with most little children she has an irrepressible curiosity and is delightfully stubborn when things don't go her way. But however demanding Little Princess gets, you cant stay angry for long once she puts on her big smile and tries to make it all better. In these episodes Little Princess is leaving home to go to space, has a camp-out with the royal household, pairs up with Horace to try and win against Algie and his bicycle and many more fun adventures!

I was given two kids DVDs to review and asked my daughter's which one they wanted to watch first. My five year old wanted to watch the Little Princess one. I am assuming it was because she loves anything to do with princesses. She loved watching it and was glued to the screen throughout. It was also a hit with her 3.5 year old sister that when called to the table for her favourite meal she didn't eat any until the TV was turned off.

I had read a couple of the Little Princess books before and I have been a fan of Tony Ross books ever since one to my Teachers College lecturers introduced one of his books to us. He is both a talented author and illustrator. Both my own children and the children I have taught love his books. I was pleased to see the animation looked just like Tony Ross' illustrations.

The episodes are all titled "I want....." and this describes the princess's attitude to everything. The shows teach her and the children viewing valuable lessons. It covers essential skills such as patience, cooperation and consideration. For this reason alone I am pleased that my girls have this DVD in their collection. My girls are just happy because they love watching it.
