Specially formulated for kids, fresh fruity smell with no more tears formulation and de tangler
Product reviews...
I used this for my child who is not keen on getting hair washed. He liked the colour which added fun to the whole process. I liked the fact it had the Johnson's no tears formulation thus meaning when it fell down his face it would not hurt or sting the eyes. Johnson's to me have always been a trusted brand so this also helped in my buying decision, he was not so sure the first time but has been fine since. As it says it does clean it really well and also makes the knots pretty much disappear. Also the bottle has become a bath toy since we have finished the shampoo and conditioner.
The Johnson's bottle stood out on the shelf and being the brand did help in my buying decision but since brought the product again as it washes hair well and has the No Tears formulation as well making it a much easier job for all involved. Also my 2 older boys have started using it to as they like the blueberry smell of the shampoo/conditioner and also removes the hair products that they use as well. Would recommend this Johnson's shampoo and conditioner product to others for they own use.
Johnson's kids blueberry shampoo and conditioner is one of those products you buy to make bath time more exciting, fun, and less time consuming (easier). My son picked this one day while we were shopping. I am guessing he chose it because it is blue and therefore it must be intended for boys lol
I am always disappointed with the prices of kids things and can never understand why even their shampoo and conditioners (or any bath products for that matter) need to cost so much. So the bottle is visually appealing, even to me, and I liked the smell of the shampoo/ conditioner. The contents were much thicker than I expected though, so had to give the bottle a good hard squeeze to get it out. It seemed to foam up reasonably well and a little bit did seem to go a long way.
My daughter however has many allergies and very sensitive skin, and we did find her skin rashes did flare up a bit after using this. I am assuming it was due to her washing her hair and then staying in the bath water afterwards. So she only used it once, and then did not use it again. Her brothers had no problems with it, and their hair was nice and soft, shiny and clean looking after each use. I was also reasonably impressed with how long it lasted for. It is not a regular on our shopping list though, as I still feel it is just a bit on the pricey side.
When my first daughter first started to properly get hair (around 18 months) we got this shampoo hoping it would be gentle for her eyes and hair. I really liked the bottle. It caught my eye on the shelf and was really striking. The blueberry motif and the blue/green pack drew me to the bottle.
The price was not bad, and I believe it was on special at the time. The smell of this shampoo was very berry. The blueberry smell definitely hit you immediately and smelt like lollies. This was a pleasant smell for us all. The shampoo lathered well and did a good job of washing her hair. However, she really couldn't handle the bubbles in her eyes.
She liked to use this shampoo in her bath play. So she could fill a small plastic container with an amount of the shampoo and then use it as rubber duck food. She would make a story up about feeding the ducks at the lake and the shampoo would be the food. She also took great pains to wash all her bath toys using a sponge and the shampoo as well.
Overall, we really liked the smell and how squeaky clean her hair came out. However, because she didn't really like the foam getting in her eyes and reacted to that, we haven't bought this again. It would be fine for a less-sensitive child though.
My sons hair is starting to get so long I would like to cut it but my partner says no he wants him to keep growing his hair long. The thing that makes me want to cut it is that it gets so knotty and he really doesn't like having his hair brushed so it causes a whole lot of drama. I was using baby shampoo but it was still knotty after washing.
I bought some of this as I thought it might be time to add a bit of conditioning into the hair washing routine. Well it did work as it said it cleaned the hair well and left it easy to comb and knot free. The hair smelt really good too with the blueberry smell and stayed smelling nice for a long time. With the added conditioner it had a shine too it so it stayed looking tidier for longer.
The only thing is my son's sensitive scalp got very irritated and sore, he ended up with almost like cradle cap on his scalp. For that reason we have had to stop using this product as I don't think it is suitable for sensitive skin.
