Raid Ant Bait Systems contain Abamectin, an ingredient that keeps killing ants nonstop. They're so advanced, they kill ants where they breed, helping to rid your home of ants for up to three months. And they're guaranteed to work for even severe ant infestations.
Raid Ant Baits fit snugly in corners and along paths commonly traveled by ants, so you can place them anywhere you've seen ants. Ants are attracted to the bait to feed. When they eat the bait, they return to their nesting area to die - and continue to kill other ants.
They're easy to use
Directions for use:
1. Break Raid Ant Baits apart from the plastic frame.
2. For thorough ant control, all four baits must be used at one time. For larger kitchens or particularly heavy infestations, we strongly recommend using additional baits.
3. For best results, place the baits next to the wall along baseboards, in corners, under sinks, in cabinets, and near plumbing fixtures. You can even place baits in cabinets. Do not contaminate feed, food products, or food preparation surfaces, dishes, kitchen utensils, and food containers.
4. Baits work best on horizontal surfaces touching corners and walls.
5. Ants will begin eating the bait immediately, and you should expect to see fewer ants within days.
6. Replace all baits every three months to keep ants from returning.
Product reviews...
I bought this product after speaking to a work mate of mine, they reccommended it for killing ant nests along with the NO ANTS brand. I chose to go with this one because of the price, and we really had a problem with ants so we gave it a go. We put two in the kitchen because we had seen the most ants there and one in our room because we had seen some ants there.
The traps worked, ants kept coming once they had discovered the traps, but after a day or two they stopped. Then within days or two weeks we would have more ants visiting our food. We kept filling the traps. But in the kitchen it just wasn't working. Then I got a golden opportunity, the one in the bedroom, had not been visited yet, and all of a sudden they had something there to attract them (the bait was not attracting them). Once they found it, they started becoming mopey, I believe we had half the colony just gathered around this one trap. That was when I realized I had been mistaken. They were coming a long way to the kitchen to get food, and they were in fact probably nested under our bedroom. But some kept returning to the nest and some kept returning to the bait.
The one most annoying thing about the product was that they would be so greedy about eating the bait that they would get stuck in the bait, and you can never get them out again without throwing away the "liquid gold" that kills the ants. But it worked and that is the main thing.
I was starting to go crazy with the ants in our house we had never had a problem with ants before until recently and then all of a sudden they were everywhere. It started out just a few ants around the kitchen sink area where dirty cups and plates were placed especially if there were any sweet crumbs left on the plates. Then it got worse they got into the pantry and anything that wasn't in sealed containers or packets got raided by ants.
It was such a costly experience because so much of my baking stuff needed to be thrown out :( I have since invested in a lot of containers to keep ants of my food items but we needed to get rid of the ants. I picked up a pack of these bait trays at my supermarket when I did the shopping I didn't know whether they would work but I was hopeful that they would. I placed three trays in various locations in the kitchen, we don't have a very big kitchen so I figured that they would be enough.
For a few days it seemed that we had more ants than ever before they were everywhere and I would wipe down the benches and have them free of ants only to return 5 minutes later to even more ants. I think it must of been because the bait was actually attracting the ants. Once a few days had passed the numbers gradually went down and we were seeing less and less ants day by day. It has been 3 weeks now and the last couple of days I have seen little more than a couple of ants so I am pretty happy with that result.
I'm not sure if this is a long term solution we will have to see how it goes, there seem to be a lot of ants outside the house and they are obviously getting into the house somehow so it may take a exterior spray to finally gain control over the house, but in the meantime these have pretty much tackled the problem in the house.
