The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner product reviews

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is a companion novella to the Twilight series by author Stephenie Meyer. It tells the story of a newborn vampire, Bree Tanner, who is featured in the third book of the series, Eclipse.

Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story...

I never read the Twilight saga novels although I did watch the movies and my daughter has all the books. It is something my daughter got really hooked into and I didn't have quite the same level of interest but watched the movies with her nevertheless. We were in paper plus last week and they had a pile of books on clearance for $2 and we found this book amongst them so we bought it to add to the Twilight collection.

I decided to give the book a read and I really enjoyed it although I hadn't read the other books having seen the movies I already knew who the characters were and all the rules of being a vampire and had knowledge of the newborn army that were created to try and overcome the Cullens and kill Bella. This book tells the story of how the newborn army were formed and what they went through before the battle focusing in on the character of Bree Tanner.

I got right into the book and definitely lost track of time wanting to find out what happened. It was quite silly really as I knew Bree died after the battle but I kept reading just wanting a different ending to happen. There were several points where she could of chosen a different path and escaped her eventual fate but deep down I knew this wouldn't happen although I still read urging her to change the ending.

It is only a short book so takes no time at all to read and I think makes a nice little edition to the twilight novels.

Product image for Giraffes Can't Dance"Hey, look at clumsy Gerald," The animals all laughed, "Giraffes can't dance you silly fool Oh Gerald, don't be daft!" Gerald would love to join in with the other animals at the Jungle Dance, but everyone knows that giraffes can't dance ...or can they?

Giraffes Can't Dance is a touching tale of Gerald the giraffe, who wants nothing more than to dance. With crooked knees and thin legs, it's harder for a giraffe ... more...
