Essense Massage Oil 100ml
(same glass amber bottle & size as other massage oils for sale)
Ingredients:
Unrefined Wheatgerm Oil - Apricot Oil - Sunflower Oil - Sweet Almond Oil
Maychang, Sweet Orange and Peppermint Essential Oils
My new Essense mix is a refreshing, revitalizing blend to pep you up and
at the same time calm the mind.
The beautiful essential oil of Maychang has a spicy lemony smell
and is known to relax and calm the mind, but also uplift and bring an
almost happy feeling to ones self. Just a dash of Peppermint is added to help
those feelings of sluggishness disappear.
You can also use this oil blend as a bath oil (I add a lid full) and as a
body moisturising oil.
Do not use if pregnant or have epilepsy
Product reviews...
This massage oil has the most amazing smell! It's refreshing, citrus and crisp. Hayley Benseman's products are 100% natural and made in New Zealand which is fantastic. Too many products contain nasty's which you do not want to put on your skin! I prefer to support New Zealand and try to whenever possible.
I received a tester size bottle of this oil and have used it in several ways. The first way I used it as a massage oil. This is what it is designed for - and quiet rightly, its lovely! The oil rolls onto the skin beautifully and a little does go a long way. The bonus with this oil is that it rubs in well, but still you do not need to add extra after you have been massaging for a while. It doesn't leave any residue which I particularly like because oil stains on my sheets really gets me!!
I added a capful of this to my sons bath, I didn't find that it was that moisturising for this. I often use a plain almond oil in their bath for added moisture as I have a son that suffers eczema. I did only add the one capful due to the essences and I wasn't sure how it would react to his skin. There was no reaction - which was great. The bathroom smelled divine!
I have also tested this as a moisturiser on my legs. I found that when rubbed on after the shower it works really well. I remember as a teenager using baby oil on my legs and it was so greasy! Thankfully this wasn't the case with the Essence oil - it all soaked in and I was left smelling beautiful!
If I was to buy a full sized bottle of this I would like to see it in a container that the oil was controlled when it came out rather that the bottle with a cap. Apart from this packaging detail - the oil itself is a winner!
Of the two massage oils when it came to my partners turn to receive a massage he chose to have this oil. He liked the smell more because it was more subtle. When I opened it and smelt it it has a mild smell but you could still pick up on the peppermint and the orange and a lemony smell also. It had a nice citrus kick to it which was quite a refreshing scent.
I rubbed some on my hands and then applied to my partners back and massaged. The oil allowed my hands to glide along his skin and kept the moisture for a good amount of time meaning I didn't need to apply a second dose of oil midway through the massage. Afterwards his skin wasn't oily which was good because a lot of times after a massage he will go and have a shower straight away because he doesn't like the oily feeling but with this he didn't feel like he needed too.
I had quite tired feet as I have been making an effort to go for a walk each day recently trying to fight the winter bulge so I decided to rub some of this into my feet. I found it made my feet feel rejuvenated and less achey. It definitely was quite uplifting and relaxing!
My husband offered to give me a massage so I gave him the choice of using the Divinity Massage Oil or the new Essence Massage Oil from Hayley Benseman. He chose the Essence Oil because the smell appealed to him more. I had to agree the citrus scent of the sweet orange oil attracted my attention too.
I had the pleasure of receiving a massage using this oil but I also had to give my husband one in return. A little oil goes a long way. I used less than 5mls for a back massage. That makes it incredibly good value for money compared to other massage oils I have bought.
The thing that amazed me most about this oil was the way it absorbed into the skin. This meant that I wasn't left with greasy hands and worried about oily stains on the sheets and clothing which is something I always worry about with other oils. This alone is reason enough to use this oil. The oil worked well into my tense muscles and left me feeling revitalised yet relaxed (if that is possible). It isn't an oil I would use just before going to sleep but that doesn't tend to be when I give or receive a massage.
