Another rectangular burger from McDonalds. One upside is that the packaging is more effective! After trying the Grand Angus Burger, I was not too optimistic about the Mighty Angus, but if a burger has bacon, it must be worth a try, right?

This burger is certainly the superior burger according to my taste buds. Lacking most of the salad bits, that often soften and go awry in a burger, the onions still create that refreshing crunch that alleviates the otherwise greasy nature of the burger. I didn't have to remove any ingredients from this burger to be able to consume it, so that was a huge positive point for me.

I'm still not sold on this burger bun, however; it seems far too dry for my liking, and the topping makes a bit of a mess when you eat it. But it does do well to absorb the sauces, and keeps in the flavour. I've bought this burger a number of times, and the bacon combined with the sauces do create a unique flavour so it is definitely worth a try. But the price is still too high for me, so I'll be sticking with my favourite burgers; the Big Mac, and the Cheeseburger.

This is the burger I most often get from McDonalds. The whole Angus beef thing had fad written all over it. It was something you could only really get at the top restaurants, and involved other words like grain-fed and aged. Then the Angus meat started to become more readily available to consumers at the supermarket and in fastfood places like McDonalds.

So what is so great about this burger? Well, its got a great taste compared to the usually bland meat patties at McDees. The Angus meat, definitely tastes aged and has a more matured flavour to it. The patty is less rubbery, and has more of a steak quality, though it is obviously not a steak. The cheese and condiments used on this burger are delicious. I love caramelised onions, and they really add to the Angus flavour, enhancing it. The cheese gives it a further kick, though it's not overly strong. Another plus for me, is the lack of salad. I love salad, but I hate the salad you get that is all shredded and falls out everywhere!

My only negative about this burger, has to be the bun. With any McDonald's burger that has a "special" bun, they are always disappointing. This one seems to be a plait of something, but doesn't pull apart too easily for sharing with the kids. It's a heavy style bread, whereas I like a nice soft and fresh feel to my burger buns. Still, it makes it perfectly fine for gumming for baby. Overall, a pretty good burger and one I'll continue getting.

I had never heard of Angus beef before this burger came out but now I see Angus beef at the supermarket all the time I don't know if it was ignorance before the burger or if the McDonald's made the Angus beef more popular all the same this is one of the better McDonald's burgers I have tried.

Let's be honest the burgers you get from McDonald's versus the pictures they use in their advertisements are nowhere near the same so you don't get what you see in the picture above but you still get a pretty nice burger. The beef they use in this burger is a lot nicer than the beef patties in the likes of cheeseburgers or Big Mac's and tastes a lot better quality.

The burger is a really nice combination with the cheese, and the bacon and the relish making it a more gourmet burger from McDonalds. I really like the relish they use it is really tangy and is quite similar to a tomato salsa giving the burger that extra tang. I am a fan of lettuce in my burger which this one doesn't have but I think it would be nice with some lettuce added in. I guess with McDonald's policies you could quite easily ask for lettuce to be added though.

This is my favourite burger to order while I am at McDonalds. I love the relish in this burger it is the best part, it is sweet and tangy at the same time and if the relish was the only thing in the burger I would be a very happy girl!! The wheat germ rectangular bun is also another feature I like about the burger, it makes the burger appear larger so I feel as though I am getting great value for money.

I am not a huge fan of lettuce so not having it is is burger is one of the main reasons I prefer to buy this burger...and with the larger slices of red onion it really gives the burger a sense of being posh! The red onion has a bite to it and I love biting into the crunch of the onion, and mixed with the relish it really is like a mouthful of heaven.

The Angus beef is delicious...it's juicy and not rubbery looking like some of the other meat patties within McDonalds burgers. The angus beef patty is thicker and actually tastes like a home made meat patty and I think that is what gives the Mighty Angus burger the edge over the other burgers. I hope that the mighty angus burger is here to stay on the regular menu because it is my favorite one to order whenever I am there and if it disappears I am not sure what I would order!

McDonalds has always been a bit slack with the stacking of their burgers and unfortunately the mighty angus is no exception but even with the button bun going one way the contents spilling off the side and the top bun heading in it's own direction the burger tastes great, and in order to get the food out fast I guess the staff at McDonalds are rushed for time so perfection isn't their main focus...but in all honestly the presentation plays second fiddle to the flavour, I can handle a wonky burger if the taste is as good as the angus burger.
