At the start of the last school holidays I took the girls shopping at the Warehouse. My eldest daughter got a soft toy crocodile and wanted baby to have something too. Since baby didn't have a set of baby keys at that stage (and we didn't have a set we could hand-me-down), we got this set for her. We picked these because of the nice bright and friendly looking crocodile keyring.
I love the bright colours of the keys. They are also all molded to look like animals. These are super cute and my daughter absolutely loves sucking, biting and generally slobbering all over these. They are nice and smooth and I bet they feel really nice on her gums. She hasn't got any teeth yet, so the keys remain smooth and toothmark free.
The button on the keyring is a squeaker. You have to push it down in a swift action or the squeak doesn't work. This means the toy is relatively quiet. There is the rattle of keys cluttering together when the toy is shaken. And a squeak if baby crawls over the keys in the right way. But otherwise she isn't really capable at 9 months, to push the button style squeaker. This doesn't bother her though as she enjoys playing with the keys even without the noise-making. This is a very cheap key set, but it doesn't look cheap at all. I would happily get this for a baby shower gift.
