Christchurch Glass has been striving to fulfil its vision of offering a more personalised service to Canterbury for over 20 years.
Achieving this commitment to our commercial and residential customers has resulted in the most comprehensive glazing organisation in the region. We have 22 experienced staff, a purpose-built factory for manufacturing Insulating Glass Units, and since the mid eighties we've had specialist teams retrofitting double glazing into timber and aluminium joinery.
Our reputation for quality and service is paramount, whether it's as a wholesaler of glass and glazing products, or in servicing enquiries from the public, which we welcome.

I will start with commenting on my score for price, I have given it a reasonably neutral score as the bill was covered by insurance and I didn't even see it.
After having spent the four weeks after the Christchurch Earthquake dealing with another glass company to still have no glass in our huge window I gave up and rang Canterbury Glass. I didn't expect them to be able to do it promptly, however I did expect that they'd be able to do it without all the hassles I'd already had.
The afternoon I rang someone came around and properly measured up for the replacement pane of glass. Big tick for promptness there! He informed me that it would most likely be 2-3 days (not weeks) before they'd have the glass for us. This wasn't a concern as glass to fit the size we required needs to be safety or laminated and specially cut.
The following morning I received a phone call to ask if I was home and could they come and install it then. Second big tick for promptness! The two staff that arrived were not surprised by the size of the window, they were fully informed as to what to expect. They did an excellent job of tidying up the wooden frame which had sustained some damage when the previous pane smashed. They then installed and cleaned a lovely piece of glass, it was so clean I had to touch it to check it was even there in the first place.
I used this company after having had them do some work at our Playcentre which we were happy with and I would definitely recommend them to others. In what was a time of crisis for many they were prompt in fixing the one thing we had a degree of control over.
