I am unfortunate enough to be blessed with holy terrors who hate having their hair washed but I was desperate and my poor ears were ringing from the crying at every single wash so I got some. It was great as a body wash, they loved it and loved playing with the bubbles.

After a few days of letting them use it as a body wash I mentioned it could also wash hair, well you would have thought I was asking them for their most prized possessions, they looked at each other and both told me to wash the other one's hair first and turned into greased pigs (well I would have been able to hold onto a greased pig a lot easier than these wiggling monkeys). I grabbed one and wet his hair and showed him that it was special kids shampoo and that it smells like watermelon, he was not impressed. Both boys complained that it was horrible and told me I'm the world's worst mum and I'm incredibly mean.

I'm still trying to find a product that they will let me wash their hair with and have no tears and no ears ringing afterwards but as a body wash I would highly recommend.

My kids were first introduced to Johnson's Kids Head-to-Toe body washes through their grandmother, who gave them each a bottle as well as themed shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste for Christmas. These body washes have such wonderful smells to them, that you just can not wait to give them a try.

My daughter received the watermelon one, and she loved it. But then she loves anything that makes bubbles (whether it is meant to or not) and the watermelon wipeout does just that. It is a bright red colour, and has quite a nice smell to it. I am not a fan of watermelon, infact I dispise watermelon a lot, but this body wash I was able to cope with just fine, when helping my little one in the bath.

My only gripe would be that the caps are not as easy to open as they could be, yet as annoying as this is, it is also a good thing as it means the kids do not go using the entire bottle in one go haha They are a decent size bottle too, so as long as they are used as a body wash, and not a bubble bath, then they do tend to last for quite some time, so definitely value for money.

My daughter was given a bottle of Johnson's Kids Top to Toe Wash in the watermelon scent for her third birthday last month. She and her four year old sister use it most days and there is still a quarter of a bottle left. They love it. I always give them a choice of the regular shower gel or watermelon and watermelon wins.

It has a strong fruity scent and bright red colour which appeals to the kids. It also make lots of bubbles which the kids love. They have also discovered that they can open the bottle themselves and squeeze it out so it is now kept on a shelf only adults can reach.

After a couple of weeks using it as a shower gel with a shower puff I actually read the label and saw it was designed for hair too. I have always found Johnson's "No More Tears" claim to be a tad exaggerated with kids . Sure enough there were protests when the watermelon got into their eyes. That was my fault as it foams up so well that I used far too much. A little goes a long way. I followed it up with their usual conditioner and found their hair was beautifully clean, smelt lovely and easy to comb.

This product is great for my girls who want to shower my themselves. It is also great for when we go away or to keep at the grandparents' place as it takes the place of two bottles. The most important thing is it makes my girls want to have a shower as it is fun to use.
