The 'that's not my' series of books is an absolutely gorgeous collection of books that are perfect for young babies, and as an Early Childhood Teacher I can say the kids adore them and they are the most well used books in every babies centre I have worked in. While pregnant with my now 3 year I collected a range of these books, including 'that's not my lion' she loved them when she was a baby and she still loves them now as a 3 year old. With such an array of books in the series there is one that is sure to be a hit with any child from animals, to vehicles, and toys these are well catered to suit the intended age group.

'That's not my lion' is such a beautifully illustrated book which has bright, and simplistic pictures of a lion throughout, paying special attention to a certain body part on each of the pages to match the corresponding sentence that is being read. Each page features a different texture which babies can touch, explore and learn through, each of these textures are very different for example soft, hard, rough and bumpy. The author of these books obviously has good knowledge in regards to how young babies learn through touch and exploration as they got this perfect.

On each page there is also a little mouse hiding, who older toddlers love to find on each of the page. I adore these books and often buy these for birthday presents and even as baby shower gifts as I have yet to meet a child or parent who hasn't been delighted by these books, in saying that 'that's not my lion' always seems to be a favourite in the series. A lovely lot of books that is worth investing in for your young child I guarantee they will love you for it.

I love the that's not my series of books, they are so good for toddlers with the touchy feely pages and cute animals. My son loves the books and this lion one is his favourite of them all.

On each page there is a different texture to feel whether it be fluffy, or soft, or shiny so they get to run their fingers along the textured part and see what they feel like. He loves this book as it is so interactive and he gets to do things as I read the words. We have also been using the book to learn body parts such as noses and ears and he can now point to his own nose.

I like the book as he can read it to himself as he just looks at the pictures and feels the textures and when he is ready he will bring the book to me. We only have a couple of books in the series but I would like to get more as they are such a big hit and are a good price too. They are such a robust book being a board book too so they are great for little hands.

That's Not My Lion is one of several books in the series that we own. These have been favourites with my children since they were babies. Now that my youngest is three they have out grown these but my younger care-kids love them. There are so many different titles in this series but at last count we had about fifteen.

That's Not My Lion really appeals to the littlies with a textured body part on each place. It is also a great way of teaching them the parts of the body of a lion. It also encourages them to find their own eyes, ears etc. it also introduces them to adjectives such as furry, soft, and rough.

I have given this books as baby shower and first birthday gifts. Once my mum was in the kids section of the bookstore looking at other books for the grandkids and was asked by another customer what to buy for a baby and she pointed these out explaining how popular they were with my girls. The other woman was very pleased with them and bought a couple.
