Grand Theft Auto IV is the next chapter of the award-winning Grand Theft Auto franchise from Rockstar Games, and it will be coming to the Xbox 360 on day one. In addition to online multiplayer, a first for the series, gamers will experience hours of additional gameplay with two downloadable episodes exclusively available on Xbox LIVE following the release of the game.
What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity.
As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a huge adventure game about the main character Niko, a European fresh of the boat looking for the american dream and ends up getting himself in to much more trouble then he generally means to. He also some of the worst luck possible, no matter how hard he tries to do the right thing it never really works out
The world of GTA4 is huge to say the least and like the previous GTA games you can roam around shooting random people, police or just steal cars and run them down.
I consider myself a completionist when it comes to games, I always attempt to get 100% and I got about half way through before I got bored of all the side missions and decided just to finish the main story. I was quite content with that, the side missions before tedious and annoying.
Overall it is a fun game and the free roaming can be exciting, a interesting story but it does have its issues. Mostly for me is that it gets far to repetitive and has some annoying characters. the replayability I find is quite low as I don't see myself ever going back to play it again.
Nikos comes to America after his cousin Roman tells him how fabulous the country is and how much better his life will be. However once Nikos arrives in America and is picked up by Roman, he finds that life is not as great as described by his cousin and he finds himself drawn into a life of crime.
One can't help but feel a little sorry for Nikos as whilst he does commit crimes e after crime, it isn't really what he wants and is constantly wishing for a better life free of crime. This game delivers everything that you would expect of the Grand Theft Auto series.
My favourite part of this game (as with others in the series) is that you can choose to do the missions for the various characters that populate the storyline or you can choose to roam around the game. There are extras to the game which include catching wanted people, stealing back cars and joining in street races. So there is hours of extras, not to mention that should you choose you can simply go around blowing things up.
Each Grand Theft Auto game seems to just get better and better, this game also comes with an add-on where you can do even more missions. A good addition to the series.
