The Scorch Trials product reviews

Solving the maze was supposed to be the end. No more puzzles. And no more running. Thomas was sure that escaping meant he would get his life back. But no one knew what sort of life they were going back to...

Burned and baked, the earth is a wasteland, it's people driven mad by an infection known as the Flare.

okay, in some places this book was not as cool as Book 1, but in other places it was even better. I personally find stories that involve a barren desert a bit boring, but in this story the characters didn't spend all their time in the desert, and that, plus a pile of other cool scenes, made this story enjoyable.

The cover is great, the colour scheme immediately makes me think of fire, and as the blurb on the back of the book said that "the earth is a wasteland" and that it was "burned and baked", the cover really made that quite obvious, and provided a visual aid as to what the earth looked like. The beginning of this story was liked very strongly to the end of the previous one, it was almost as if book 1 and book 2 were once one large book that was just split at one point and turned into 2 separate books, so I am very glad I got a copy of "The Maze Runner".

The storyline was given a large amount of detail, I could visualised the scenes and characters with great ease and great detail. The pricing of "The Scorch Trials" is good, it is the same price as book 1 and book 3, and therefore is is good for the exact same reasons. I didn't lose track of time as well as I did with "The Maze Runner", so I'm afraid that I can't give a full 10/10 on that aspect, but all other aspects are deserving of a full score.

I hope that you enjoy "The Scorch Trials", because I think it is something not to miss. Happy reading!
