Product reviews...
I love this mop I brought mine second hand but it was so awesome... We have the type of lino that's old and shows every mark and it worked so well to remove and keep it clean. The steam mop is easy to use light weight and gets to every part of the floor. It works better on hard wood floors then lino and not having to use any cleaning products is a definite plus. After using I could literally feel how clean the floor was under my feet. Do not stick hot water in it as my sister did to mine and it stopped working.
The blue pad (think its called a coral one) is much better then the white pad. I found the the blue leaves the floor much drier and you don't need to change as often. I don't use the white ones any more and I have 2 blue ones and just rewash, they last months before you have to buy another one. I also find sometimes I spray bleach on the floor to get an even better clean and this mop does it well. This mop is a lifesaver when you have a crawling baby and provides peace of mind knowing the floors are clean.
We kept seeing the infomercials for the steam mop and thought that it was a lot of money to be spending if it didn't work but with three kids it is not that easy to get the floor clean and dry with chemicals so we bite the bullet and bought one. It cleans really well, so much easier than using a normal mop and bucket but it does push some of the dirt into the corners so once in a while I have to go over the edges with a sponge (lucky it is not a large area) to be sure that it is not going to look too bad. I love being able to wash the pads and reuse them so it is not costing heaps to keep replacing and best of all no more floor cleaners to buy in the grocery shopping as I can never find one that I'm 100% happy with.
Price is a bit high but for how easily it cleans really dirty floors and how much I'm saving on cleaning products/chemicals it does work out better. Haven't tried it on carpets as we are renting and have low budget carpets that stain with even plain water so probably would not be a good idea to use on carpet although it does come with a carpet glider.
A friend had a steam mop and was told to use cool boiled water but I often forget and use plain tap water.
I would recommend this mop to anyone wanting to be a bit more eco friendly when cleaning the floors.
we purchased a Aqua steam mop from Godfreys here in Manukau paid $149 which came with 2 washable mop clothes and the carpet glider
it was very easy to put together and learn how to use instruction manual was easy enough to read and follow filled the water filter up, plugged the machine in waited a few seconds and away we went .
the main thing i liked about the mop was that i didn't have to use any cleaning products therefore no chemicals used on the floors very hygienic for the bathroom and toilet glided along the vinyl perfectly, easy along the floor boards and got into corners ok, and even made my carpet smell cleaner and also removed a few food marks i had on the carpet
For the price i thought the steam mop was good, easy enough to store away when not in use and only takes up a small space.
The only negative thing i have about this product is the fact after using this for a little while i noticed that it leaves more water on the floor than it did when i first used it, on a nice warm or breezy day its okay will dry up fast enough once the doors and windows are open, however i tend to wash my floors specially the kitchen ones in the evening after dinner dishes have been done, so i tend to use an old towel to dry up the excess water
But overall i would defiantly recommend a good steam mop for any family home specially with children
After recently moving into a new brick n tile home we knew we would need to buy a decent steam mop before long... After a lot of debating (mainly due to what is available price wise) we decided on the Aqua Laser Steam Mop (the new Aqua coloured version) and paid $99 for it from Farmers.
Putting the mop together was simple with two screws that hold it all together. We wanted to try the mop straight away and liked the results it gave us! Filled the container with water, plugged it in and waited a little bit before starting. We clean every week so there was only a weeks worth of dirt/grime on the tiles (which in our house isnt that much!) and it removed it all with no troubles. We used a normal washable (YAY love the fact its washable) pad not the shaggy one which is recommended for tough stains.
I loved that the mop isnt to heavy and is easily moveable plus the mop head moves around so you can get into those annoying corners etc.
One problem we did find is that it seemed to leave our floors really wet! Which if you did in the middle of a nice warm day it would be fine. We did it late evening (which was probably silly but soo wanted to try it out lol) and it took ages for the floors to dry.
Great design and awesome colour means i can put it in the corner by the washing machine and it doesnt need to be tucked away in a cupboard somewhere. Recommend to others :)
Aqua Laser Steam Mop is the new revolution in clean floors, and I love mine. The price is more than I would normally pay for a mop, but usually for that price its a buy one get one free deal as seen on TV. I purchased mine privately for under $100 brand new, and it is one of the best investments I have made.
It is easy to use, just fill with water, plug in, wait a bit and then mop away. Each mop comes with a number of microfibre pads to attach to the head for cleaning, and you can also get disposable ones too. The main pads are washable as well which is simply brilliant, and not only can you steam hard floors but you can *apparently* steam your carpet too (I have yet to try).
The best thing about these is they do actually work, my floors always look fresh and clean and it seems to remove even the most stubborn stains. Its not too heavy to use or move around either, and the head of the mop moves around so you can get into those really annoying places. The cord could be a hindrance for some, but I have yet to have any problems with it.
Its a funky design, great colour and looks awesome leaning against the laundry wall and further more it takes up very little space.
I love my steam mop!
