The Targus Versavu Cover & Stand is specifically designed for the iPad 2. The sophisticated styling of the Rotating Stand/Case features a unique, patent-pending mechanism that creatively frames the Apple logo and allows the iPad to rotate both vertically and horizontally while in the case.
For optimum comfort, this case offers three viewing positions including a lower angle which is ideal for typing on the screen. The form-fitted design securely holds the iPad in place while the hard-sided exterior provides a sturdy, protective cover. The soft interior lining adds color and protects the device against scratches. The thin design makes it easy to carry inside of another case adding little weight or thickness to the iPad itself.
The Versavu Cover & Stand for iPad 2 provides full access to all iPad functions so the iPad can be fully operational without leaving the case. Pairing an executive appearance with seamless functionality, the Versavu Cover & Stand for iPad 2nd Generation provides an attractive and functional way to carry and use the iPad.

• Functionality and Design: Features a patent-pending swivel mechanism that allows the iPad to rotate inside of the case in both portrait and landscape modes. Innovative window design frames the Apple logo
Product reviews...
This is a seriously good looking piece of kit.
Made from leather lined with a microfibre, with a formed tray that holds your precious iPad 2 into place all wrapped up in a great looking portfolio type package. I feel like I am repeating the product blurb here - but I can't help it. It really does look good.
The leather cover provides a great looking design that even when wandering around town, looks less like a stealable iPad with typical typical plastic covers that just scream "mug me, steal me". The cover provides a nice protective thickness to the iPad without feeling bulky and yet still feels quite slim-line (if that doesn't sound like a contradiction in terms). The blue stitching gives a sympathetic highlight to the black cover
The plastic form fitted tray hold your iPad securely inside, yet allowing the Versavu to rotate to the desired viewing positions. The iPad in which ever position it is rotated, fits into one of two groves to hold the iPad in position.
The blue microfibre inside not only protects but helps to polish the screen.
Ok, you've now read almost a repeat of the product blurb, which I don't mean to sound like a sales pitch - because I really do feel it is a great looking piece of kit. But how does it work in action?
Well, installing the iPad is as simple as snapping it securely into place. And if you want to take it out, it pops out just as easily (without falling out too easily). The first few times the rotation is a little stiff, but this is to be expected. Now it has worn in a little it rotates smoothly without feeling too sloppy,
The microfibre does polish the screen once it is folded over, you carry it around a bit. It does rely on some natural movement to polish the screen. However the two larger grooves do leave some greasier streak (more than the iPad smart cover) but this is only because the grooves are a little thicker than the crease marks of the smart cover. This isn't a big problem. I just found rotating through 180 degrees and folding the cover over again was enough to finish the polishing.
The grooves allow you to position your iPad in a couple of different positions in either rotation, or you can fold it flat. I quite enjoy the flexibility this offers, through I rarely play movies or photos to set this up in this position and leave it untouched for an hour. I tend to be using the iPad flat for general surfing or amending documents.
All in all, I do love the touch and feel of the Versavu, the leather gives a touch of luxury to an otherwise functional item (whether I refer to the iPad or the Versavu). Left on my desk, it looks like a professional portfolio and less like a toy (which is useful if you want to skive at work without getting caught!) and makes your iPad look more like an adult tool rather than a kid's toy.
Well worth the money, and actually works out cheaper than buying the Apple Smart Cover and Protective back separately.
