Awakening: Peter Davison (1984)
The TARDIS has brought the Doctor Tegan and Turlough to the English country village of Little Hodcombe in 1984 where an alien war machine, the Malus, is affecting its inhabitants. A re-enactment of a civil war battle becomes dangerously real as the Malus gathers sufficient psychic energy to re-awake.

The TARDIS arrives in the town of Tombstone in the Wild West and the Doctor, having hurt a tooth on one of Cyril's sweets, decides he must visit a dentist. Product reviews...
Yet again we are graced with two more classic Doctor Who stories. One from my personal favourite of the original Doctors Peter Davison, and one from the grand 'ol original William Hartnell.
The first story listed is a wonderful story that links in a personal story to an interesting Doctor Who storyline. The personal story belongs to Tegan who wants to visit her uncle in a small village in England, upon arriving Tegan discovers her uncle has gone missing, and from there we delve into a dual time period, alien encounter story. I had never seen this story perviously, and while it wasn't a great Doctor Who story, it certainly wasn't bad either.
The second story featuring the masterful William Hartnell is a classic american western complete with Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp, in fact it is a Doctor Who retelling of the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral. This was quite honestly an interesting story, like the previous one not brilliant but certainly not abysmal either.
So all together a good addition to those Doctor Who fans who are wanting to collect all the released DVD's.
