Product reviews...
This is by far my favourite of Celestial Wines fruit flavoured wines, with a subtle spicy hint following the delightful sweet bouquet of fruity tangy strawberry, with a svelte gentle texture that goes down oh so easily.
The best matches to go with this wine are Poultry, Seafood, Pasta, Vegetarian dishes and of course desserts, such as Ambrosia, Tiramisu and Cheesecakes. Also a nice slice of camembert or brie would create a taste sensation of ecstasy when served with this unique flavour.
The price definitely warrants what this experience has brought, and has far outstripped Lindauer Fraise by a Mile!
Nice fresh smell, quite mild and refreshing.
Good bubbles, tickling the nose, tasted like fresh strawberries, a very refreshing sparkling wine.
The aftertaste was just like the wine.
This wine has a very provocative smell. Sweet like strawberries. I was amazed with this wine, as strawberry is a very hard fruit to get the taste just right, if the process goes wrong, that taste would be a "fake strawberry" taste.
This bottle was very sparkly, so sparkly the fizz went straight up my nose. But after a day the wine lost a bit of the fizz which made it easier to drink.
This wine leaves a great after taste. Just a great fruity wine. Well done.
Never been a great fan of berries of any variety, myself. Though if I had to pick a berry that was more tolerable than any other, it would be Strawberry... REAL strawberry only though, not that fake "milkshake flavour" you find at takeaways and fast food chains. -shudder-
So, I was a bit hesitant about trying this one, but actually found myself quite pleasantly surprised. A subtle hint of strawberry blended into a very fizzy 'sparkling' wine that had a very slight dry aftertaste for me. A little acidic for my tastes, since I prefer a slightly more medium-sweet than a medium or medium-dry.
Overall, a very nice wine. Not really *my* thing, but taken on it's own merits, a fine drop indeed.
Random listing from 'Beverages'...
A fresh and elegantly proportioned wine with concentrated flavours of gooseberry, citrus and passion fruit. The palate is dry to taste and medium-bodied, the acidity is perfect for balance and energy and carries the flavours to a soft, gentle, lingering finish.
