Helmet Heroes - Police Officer product reviews

Trigger your child's excitement for sirens and squad cars and inspire get-up-and-go activity with this role-playing police officer's helmet and motorcycle-styled handlebar.

The adjustable helmet has colored lights, a flip-up visor and a microphone that amplifies your child's voice - that's sure to stop 'lawbreakers' in their tracks! A grip of the motorcycle handlebars encourages your little guy to burn off all of that pent-up energy, leaving it up to your child's growing imagination, and little legs, to navigate the way. Control buttons activate flashing light patterns, siren, horn and revving sounds.

Your little long-arm of the law will be in 'hot pursuit' with 30 different mission sequences to respond to. Mission-inspired music and loads of action phrases like, 'Search and rescue in progress!' and 'Set up a road block!' encourage hours of make believe that's never the same adventure twice.

    •  Helmet comes with handlebar controller and instructions
    •  Helmet includes 3 'AAA' batteries. Controller includes 2 'AA' batteries.

Well I have four boys so this helmet was a complete hit in my house. We were having to use the timer for turns otherwise there would have been endless fighting over who's turn it was.
The main attraction was definately the helmet but the hand piece got plenty of use too.
Loved the flashing lights and the voice saying 'please respond with lights', 'ten four', 'lets book em' and 'robbery in progress'. Among other things.
The microphone would be a great feature also although we couldnt hear any difference to the volume of the childs voice.
The glasses pull down over the eyes and make the kids have that feeling of 'being the law'!
Lots of batteries needed for this toy and strangely enough there were batteries provided for the helmet but not the handpiece.
I would definately say this toy is a great idea although it could do with some improvements. The microphone and also the straps that hold it on didn't fit any of my children. They are needed or else it just constantly slips forward.

Since writing this review we have discovered how the microphone works. Just the push of a button and your voice is loud and clear. All that was needed to discover this was some instruction reading on my part.... woops!
