A soft multi coloured shape sorter. Shapes rattle and crinkle as baby puts them through the holes.

We had this Lamaze Soft Shape Sorter for our little lady when she was around 6-8 months old. Great toy for young children as its nice and soft so if it is dropped it doesn't hurt or harm them.
Great for hand eye co-ordination as children work out how to pick up the shapes and put them through the holes in the main cube. Babies love it for the brightness as it is eye catching and is easy for them to grab onto. The shapes all have different noises whether its a crinkle or a rattle which children enjoy hearing. There are different fabrics on the cube for children so they can feel different textures, smooth, rough and shiny.
Great baby shower gift as it can be for both boys and girls. Versatile toy that can be squished into a nappy bag or into a travel bag to take away. Perfect toy for on a plane to keep your little one busy without annoying other people around you on the plane.
The lamaze soft shape sorter is a great option for younger babies and children as compared to other shape sorters it is a lot safer as it is soft.
My baby loves the bright colours and different textures and sounds of the various shapes. As they are soft he is able to easily grasp them in his small hands as plastic shapes are often harder for him to get a grip on. As he gets older he will learn that the different shapes fit in different parts of the shape sorter but for now just enjoys the different noises and putting the pieces in his mouth but it is great how this toy will grow with him providing fun and learning for an extended time.
A bonus for me is that the toy itself is completely machine washable making it great for when they are at the stage where everything goes in their mouth. I just put all the pieces in a delicates bag and put on a warm wash in the machine.
It is more expensive than the basic plastic shape sorters but I think it is worth the extra money as it is a lot easier for younger children to use.
This is awesome. My baby loved the different sounds and textures of the shapes. He especially liked the black and white ball, obviously more of a contrast for him to see.
He was able to grab the box easily as it is soft. When the shapes are out he goes to grab them, and rolls around the floor as he pushes them.
As he gets older, he will be able to see the colours and match up what item goes into what hole, and then eventually what shape, so it will be a toy to last through many development changes.
He has also been able to figure out how to pull up the flap and let the balls drop out, which are all good to 'eat' at this stage.
