These are an excellent range to consider if you are wanting to grow your own herbs from scratch. (Better yet, from seeds, but to each their own. Wink Icon) Each packet contains a number of smaller foiled pouches, containing a hefty dose of seeds for up to 6 different herb plants. This ensures great value for money, as you are always going to get a selection that covers a wide range of culinary uses.

With 'companion planting' becoming more and more common for those wanting to find natural, eco-friendly ways to deal with pests, research into the benefits of many common herbs as pest deterents or symbiont-attractants is well worth the effort. For example... I didn't know why my parsley and mint plants were dying out so quickly, until I discovered they each release chemicals harmful to the other, and by placing them side by side in pots, I was actually ensuring their early and rapid demise!

These seeds grew well, gave great, sturdy plants (when I followed the rules properly) and have improved the garden to a degree I could only have dreamed of. Add to that the joys of using freshly-picked herbs from one's own garden when preparing meals... I tell ya, nothing beats it!

Having used a wide range of Niche seeds in our test garden, I can honestly state that our diet has never been better, it is a joy to plan a meal by looking out the window, instead of flicking through the junkmail for coupons off pizza, or checking the menus from takeaway places stuck to the fridge.

Overall, another excellent example of Niche seeds at their best. The packaging is informative, with clear directions for when, where and how to get the best results, and those results are... delicious!
