Product reviews...
I was well impressed with this product. The cooking was a little hit-and-miss, but after over half-an-hour and still at a dangerously low core temp I threw caution to the wind and nuked for 2 minutes.
Unlike other chicken pies I have had which were basically grey chicken sludge in a pie casing, this one had a thick tasty gravy and plenty of vegies to go with the chicken pieces. A slight hint of herbs lifted what could have been a very average pie.
I am glad this is reasonably priced, I look forward to stocking my freezer with more.
A delicious pie, full of flavour, chunks of chicken, and a very tasty gravy. Not at all the usual watery crud drizzled into a pie casing and sold at a service station for $2.20 or more.
The thing that catches my attention most about this pie was the cooking instructions. Either my oven is malfunctioning (which would be strange, considering how many Maketu Pies I have cooked in the last few days) or the instructions are a little off. I would suggest that you add about 15 minutes to the suggested cooking times if you plan to heat them at home.
Other than that, overall I would have to say this is indeed a fine Chicken Pie, well worth the purchase price. Even if it's not your thing, it's less than $2, so why not try something different.

Cheddar, Aged 12 months. Mild Smoke, great flavour and very versatile.
Sometimes simple is best, this delightful smoked cheese is great on crackers accompanied by a nice wine.
This rich & smokey cheddar cheese is amazing on platters. Just pair it with some salty crackers, organic olives and chunky chutney such as plum to bring out the flavours. Add a nice glass of wine and you are set.
