I'll keep this quick and nasty, just like the food I got.
I order a burger and chips combo. I wasn't smiled at, just had my money demanded off me. The guy was grumpy, abrupt and not at all pleasant to deal with.
When the food eventually arrived, the chips appeared overcooked, but were actually undercooked in most cases. The burger was full of chewy, tough chicken meat, with a very strange taste to it. The sauces I asked for were mild chilli and yoghurt. I got tomato sauce and horseradish.
Overall, not in the least impressed. I will not be returning to this place. From now on, I will stick to my favourite place, Kebabs on Broadway.
I have enjoyed food from this place in the past, and I guess I had the expectation to enjoy some more this time. Boy was I wrong.
The guy behind the counter - when he noticed that I was waiting there for service, and not just to make the place look untidy - was remarkably rude and very difficult to understand as he mumbled everything he said.
Figured I'd order a mixed burger with most of the salads. I was soon handed an innocuous polystyrene container emanating delicious food-type smells. What I found when I got to a table was a different story. The burger looked as if it had been pre-assembled outside the box and then hurled in its general direction. Picking up the burger soon became an exercise in trying to control what felt a lightly set custard square. I have decided that I will not be buying any more food from this place.
To wrap up, basically not at all impressed really. And they used to do such nice food.
p.s. By the way guys, sweet chilli sauce is supposed to have SOME flavour.
a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, someone decided to invent a new food. but that has nothing to do with this place, although their food tastes as though it has been in the vacuum of space for ages. months ago i used to be a regular at this place, but when the manageress moved up north and handed the place over to the assistant, the food quality went downhill fast, and so did the level of friendly service. i stood there for nearly 15 minutes and not one person smiled or said gidday, just took orders, handed stuff over, and basically gave off a major vibe of 'gimme the money then bugger off'. not at all impressed, but at least they are conveniently close if i am shopping.
