I was actually pleasantly sprites by this movie. Stayed pretty true to the game as far as characters and story line went but did lack humour that younger kids who enjoy the game would get. I personally wouldn't pay to see again but do see why it was popular. My boys who are 9,7 & almost 2 liked it but wouldn't rave about it. They did like finding out what a few of the Angry Birds names were as often the games and apps don't say and it certainly aided in when they went to play the game again as the movie showed in greater detail the particular Angry Birds ability. Overall it wasn't too bad but I am glad we waited for it on DVD rather than paying movie cost to see it.

Parts of the movie were very very funny but a more adult sort of humour as I noticed Dad and I would Crack up laughing and the boys looked be mused and a bit clueless as to why what just happened was so funny. I don't know what games necessarily make the best movies as it can go so many ways like it would in a game but Angry Birds didn't do too bad of a job in this area. The bad piggy were definitely a highlight and would love to see a movie of them...a bit like despicable me with the Minions. ..the bad piggy stole the show. I wouldn't recommend this movie to kids under 7: I think they would get bored quite quickly and not enough action to hold their attention. It's definitely a movie for Angry Birds game lovers as they will get it a bit better.

I was lucky enough to win a Family Pass to see Angry Birds so treated my mother in law and 2 daughters to see this. I have played the Angry Birds game a few times but had no real idea about the whole concept of Angry Birds - just knew I had to knock over the towers!!

To be honest, based on the Angry Birds game which is extremely popular, I didn't have high expectations and was expecting the worse. As the movie had been playing for quite some time, I was surprised to see the theater packed out with families looking for something to do on a weekend!

The movie is about Red (who is an Angry Bird) has to go to Anger Management class and makes some friends. The pigs then arrive on the island under false pretences and try to steal all the Birds eggs. Red is the only Bird to see what is happening and takes his new friends on an adventure to firstly stop the theft and then recover them.

The story-line is quite entertaining, the animation is great and there are some funny jokes to make you chuckle. The movie is just about the right length to keep you interested without getting bored. My girls loved it and both my mother in law and myself were pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it was. It had a lovely happy ending (of course!) and suddenly the Angry Bird's game made sense to me! I can't honestly say that I would have paid for myself to go see this but as a family movie we really enjoyed it.

Mother's Day, nothing to do, friend visiting and Event Cinema doing an advanced screening for CineBuzz members, so my friend decides to treat us all to an afternoon at the movies and my kids were more than happy to go. Many will have heard about the game and boy oh boy has this game gone far, but I did have my doubts about how the simple back story (which is told in the game) could be turned into at least 90 minutes of film... This centres on Red, who ends up getting put in a sort of anger management class and there he meets and begrudgingly friends Chuck (super speed and badly behaved) and Bomb (who explodes and can't control it), then of course the pigs arrive and if you've played the game you know where it goes from there...

This is one of the first family movies that I've watched in a while, where I haven't really enjoyed it, as things stand I can say that I liked it but if it was a choice between this film, and say, any that I've watched in the last year... this would be down near the lower end of the list. They did flesh out the story enough and gave the birds some good personalities but other than the main three, I only remember the name of one other and that's because she's in the ad. The animation is good and there are some good jokes though my favourite thing about the film has to be the bird who just wanted hugs but kept getting turned down.

The kids had a blast, but for myself it would have been fine had I missed out on watching it on the big screen.
