My girls have loved the Ella and Olivia Series and the follow on Ella Diaries so they were both excited to see the latest Ella Diary "Dreams Come True". Surprisingly Miss almost nine declared herself to old for Ella now when she got half way through the book. I think she has become lost in the world of Harry Potter!
Miss Seven however declared this the best Ella Diary and really enjoyed it, she thought it was "lovely". Like previous diaries this is written in diary form and follows the latest drama in Ella's life. I love how these books are written and how true to form the relationships are between Ella and her friends and classmates. The story line is quite funny as Ella and her classmates have to come up with some ideas and then produce a video for a competition but some rivalry gets in the way.
I also like how Ella makes up lots of words like splendiferously because after all what is life without some expansion. The illustrations in the book are very cute and Miss Seven enjoyed looking at these. If you have enjoyed previous Ella Diaries books then this book won't disappoint and is definitely worth purchasing.
We haven't read any of the "Ella Fiaries" before but Miss Ten was very excired to be chosen to read and review Dreams Come True. We both loved everything about Ella Diaries and Alazay found lots of things in common between herself and Ella.
The book is set out as a diary, is in a fun, cute font and has cute drawings throughout. I like that each diary entry is not too long. Alazay finished this book in an evening as she said she could just not put it down and was DYING to see what was going to happen. That right there is a pretty good indication it is a good book choice for her!
I liked that this diary was not all about boys and more about things I feel ten year old girls should be worried about such as friends, school and their favourite pop stars. This book is based on a competition between schools to win a private concert from their favourite celebrity, Alazay has been talking about how it would be her dream come true if Katy Perry came to her school and the ideas she would have to win.
Awesome book, well written and fun!!

Dads know how to do everything. They can help with homework and carry you on their shoulders. They can make pancakes and teach you how to sing songs. These loving actions are just some of the ways dads show how much they care - and no matter how they say it, 'I love you' is wonderful to hear!
