Thumbs up Scholastic Thumbs Up for another amazing book! I was very lucky to have the chance to review this book. From the moment it arrived my 2 year old toddler was over the moon and kept yelling "beautiful mumma, santa, glitter beautiful read mumma". Needless to say she was excited from the moment she spotted Santa and the glitter.

First impressions. The book is really eye catching with its shiny glitter and bright vibrant colours. I love the curved edges and how each page is separated which makes it easy for little fingers to turn the page without having to ask for help or get frustrated and put the book down. I am all for books that younger children can easily look at and read for themselves so this was perfect. I love the fact it is a hard cover book also so can withstand a bit of rough treatment from younger children.

The entire way through this story the words are catchy and are all in rhyme. The colours and pictures are clear cut and vibrant. I love how this story also teaches basic numbers i.e. in this case you are counting down from eight reindeer down to one. It's great to see the traditional reindeer names being used as well.

All in all fantastic book, eye catching, toddler gave it her seal of approval and I have been reading it at least 5 times a day and I love the story line. Great book scholastic I can't wait to read more!
