Runaway Toilet product reviews

A toilet on the run is not a common sight. The people on the street outside received an awful fright ...When Philip the brand new luxury loo discovers what toilets are used for he is not impressed.

Determined to choose his own destiny, Philip runs away. But life is tough for a toilet on the run. Philip just wants to find a home where he won't be plumbed in, sat on and used to dispose of... you know what!

A hilarious picture book with a surprising ending.

I have to say straight off that I love love love this book! I could read it over and over again and every single time I think about how clever both the author and the illustrator are. As you can probably tell from the title of the book, it's very much a toilet humour book, and so move right along if this is not up your alley and you don't want to find yourself saying "poos and wees" out loud to the children.

I personally love the topic - and it has the potential to capture the interest of kids who aren't normally into reading - a huge plus if you ask me. The book not only has a great storyline (with plenty for the adults to giggle at, even if it goes right over the kids heads), but it rhymes as well... and brilliantly at that!

The illustrator has done so well capturing the story with some brilliant pictures... You could almost cover up the words and the book still make sense and work all on it's own!

This book probably suits children from about age 3 up to 7 or 8 officially... but to be honest, I'd probably buy and read this book myself even if I didn't have any kids... It's the only kids book I'd ever honestly say that about!

I won't go too much into the story, but when Philip the toilet finds out what he's destined for in life, he goes on an adventure to make sure it doesn't happen... and he ends up pretty happy at the end... well maybe apart from the slight giggle the very last picture gives.... no words needed!

If you haven't seen this book before, I highly recommend you seek it out.
