I went to paper plus today to get some essentials for fathers day and although my quest was to find things for Dad I couldn't resist buying this book for my son to add to his cranky bear collection. We already have the very cranky bear, and the very itchy bear so it was essential we got this one too or the collection wouldn't be complete.
Well Nick Bland has done it again creating yet enough book about the Cranky Bear that is just so funny and so worth reading. Again he has used the classic rhyming style that I love and that makes the book so easy and enjoyable to read and again he has created a humourous and charming book that kids will love. My son loved sitting on my knee while I read him the story before bed.
In this story The Cranky Bear meets up with Boris the Buffalo and they proceed with a range of challenges to show how brave they are and to prove that they are indeed the most brave of the pair. But when they see a cave and inside there is a shadow and a loud noise they are both send fleeing only to find it was a tiny frog coming to invite them in his cave.
With this they both decide that they are both very brave except when it comes to dark caves!!

There's too much to do and too much to see."
It is George's bedtime and he is determined that sleep is NOT something he needs. He sneaks outside and, as he explores, he discovers a range of animals along the way, including a possum, owl, and frog, all of whom he persuades to play with him. But when it is his turn to hide, and he buries himself under some leaves, he begins to feel sleepy....
