Abe's Bagel Bites for Kids product reviews

Some of our biggest fans are also our smallest. And Loudest. So when it came to making our Kids Bagel Bites, we took the job more seriously than normal. First off, we made sure our bagel bites for kids are healthier than any potato chip. Tick. Then we said no to artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives. Tick. More importantly we made sure the yummy flavours will be a big hit for lunch box totting nippers everywhere. Tick, Tick, Gold Star

We recently received some of these to try. I though wow how cool they came in little packets and were bite sized morsels great for toddlers. They had 2 flavours available and we tried the pizza ones. They have a good flavour base on them and aren't "coated" with flavour like chips and other snacks we have tried. They really are bite sized good for little mouths although my 23 month old did struggle with how hard the product is.

As she gets older I would definitely try these again as I think they would be a great alternative to chips, I am going to look in the snack section at the supermarket to get the adults version as they would go really well with some nice healthy dips. They are a little more expensive than buying a multipack of chips but if you could get them on special they would be worth buying. Even though you only get 8 packets they still go along was as are a little more filling than chips.

My toddler loved the monkey on the front of the packaging, it was brightly coloured and easy to find at the supermarket. What an amazing alternative to chips for those people who are also looking to watch their waistline.

I love Abe's Bagel crisps, and have enjoyed almost every flavour they have. I love to eat them with cream cheese and sweet chili or similar style dips. They are really crunchy, and a bit hard on the teeth if you aren't use to them. But they are a nice texture, not as oily as you would imagine and baked not fried!

The kids versions are exactly the same, except that they are slightly different flavours. They do a BBQ flavour and a Pizza flavour. The bagel crisps come in a little snack sized bag, and you get 8 bags in the pack. This is a normal serving for these types of snack packs and are great for daycare or school lunches. I like to pack a packet of these crisps for picnics, or as a snack for after swimming.

We have tried all of the flavours available. The pizza is a real kid's flavour. But the BBQ flavour was the most acceptable to my daughter's palate. The crunchy texture was a bit too hard for her though, and so we have only gotten these a couple of times. My youngest daughter has enjoyed these more. She can't quite get through a full packet by herself. This means that I end up eating half the packet myself. Not really that big a deal of course, since I like them though. As she gets older, I'm sure she will get through the pack easier as well.

I have been getting these for my 18 month old as a lunch box filler when we go out to play group. I didn't want him to get into eating potato chips like his sister who would live on them if she could but sometimes packaged foods are just so convenient. I love bagel bites so knew they tasted good and decided to give them a try.

I bought the BBQ flavour I thought the taste was really nice quite similar to a bbq potato chip but in a bagel bite. My son loved the flavour and was quite put out when the packet was all gone. The packets are quite small so you only get a small serving which is great for young children to eat in moderation and not have a huge portion but because they are quite expensive in comparison to other packaged chips you almost want more in the packet.

There are other flavours in the range we want to try including some sweet versions so there is a good variety of flavours. My daughter wants to try the pizza ones so that will be next on the list. They are great served with hummus if you like that sort of thing but the kids really don't mind having them just on their own.
