"God, why do you hate me?" is uttered by Bruce (Jim Carrey) at a time when everything is going wrong. He likens God to the kid aiming a magnifying glass at an ant and he is the ant. Bruce ends up meeting God and after a short talk with God he is given all of his powers. Bruce finds his new-found powers wonderful until he realises that his life wasn't so bad after all.

This has got some good laughs, as you would expect from Jim Carrey, Morgan Freeman is wonderful as always and Jennifer Aniston does a great job playing the long suffering girl-friend. There's also a good moral to this story, yup, life could be throwing some real crud at you, but it's usually not as bad as you think it is.

With a great cast, some great laughs and a good story to boot this is a real fun movie. Whilst I don't think that it is as good as its sequel, Evan Almighty, it is still a good, fun movie to curl up to on a night when you just want to while away a couple of hours.
