We absolutely love chicken in our household, and if it was me living alone id probably eat it everyday! We quite often buy products such as these in our weekly shop, as they taste so delicious and are really very convenient, pop them in the oven and walk away, and in the meantime you can get on with the rest of your dinner preparations. When it comes to buying such products it is always a toss up between Inghams and Tegel, and more recently Waitoa, though it really ends up coming down to which of them is on special on the day.

I absolutely love garlic bread, and so the thought of hot buttered, garlicky chicken surrounded in a golden multi grain crumb is enough to make my mouth water. These come in a box of 2 and so when buying the chicken Kiev variety in our household it works out perfect as Miss 3 is highly allergic to garlic if it is in such high quantities as it is in this product, so while me and my partner have this she enjoys some chicken nuggets, which her favourite food of all time, so a win-win really. They are a little bit on the pricier side of things but they do tend to be on sale almost every week I find so we stock up on them during the specials.

The Tegel Chicken Kiev is boneless, and consists of a yummy moist chicken breast, the garlicky sauce is yummy and has a strong amount of garlic to it, which I like, however the only problem I have with this product is that the garlic sauce seems to ooze out of the chicken during the cooking so you don't end up with as much sauce as you may like. The multi grain crumb surrounding the chicken all cooks up nice and crispy and is very tasty, I love the addition of the various grains that are used as this adds a nice texture and change from plain breadcrumbs and also gives it a bit of a more healthier taste.

I often serve these up with some mashed potato and either a salad or serving of vegetables which created a nice filling meal. A great product by Tegel that I suggest trying if you are a garlic lover.

I love garlic. I absolutely love it. I enjoy the smell of my breath afterwards because its so full of garlic. Ingham and Tegel have always been the top brands for buying these specialty chicken products, and when you eat them it is easy to see why.

Tender, boneless chicken breast, crumbed in multigrain and filled with a rich garlic cream. Kiev is generally made with one of two garlic products; a garlic butter, or a garlic cream. The garlic cream is usually more subtle with a greasiness to it, but it will stay embedded in the breast for longer, allowing the flavour to infuse the meat more. On the other hand, the garlic butter, is much stronger in flavour, but quickly melts and makes a bit of a mess when you first cut into the fillet.

This product has the garlic cream, and if cooked properly, the cream has little greasiness but still retains enough texture to be able to be used as its own sauce. I enjoy the taste of the kiev's so much that I will generally eat them on their own, with nothing more than a generous dollop of tomato sauce as a side. It's just that good. The price means I can't always buy it, but I certainly look forward to the days that I can.

I buy these quite often as they are so convenient to just heat up for dinner. We love chicken in this house and would probably have it for dinner every night so have tried a lot of the different products in the Tegel Cuisine range and these are one of my favourites being a real garlic lover.

They are quite expensive at $10.99 for a box if two and we need too buy two boxes to feed everyone in the family so it can work out quite expensive so we wouldn't have them every week and often only buy them if they are on special.

They have a lovely garlic flavour and the chicken is really moist and as it is precooked we don't have to worry about checking to see if the chicken is cooked through which is really convenient. The only thing I find is that you often aren't left with much of the garlic butter by the time you are finished cooking as it all escapes and I think it would be a lot nicer if it was more of a garlic cream sauce rather than garlic butter.

Definitely a very filling meal by the time you have had a whole one of these with a side of veges and it is a very no fuss easy meal and as you cook them from frozen it is a great meal I can cook when I have gotten home late and need to get dinner cooked quickly.
