This is a great book. The Green Goblin is one of the greatest villains ever created, one of my personal favorites. It's a good compilation of Spidey's encounters with the Goblin, showing some major points in Green Goblin's attacks on Spidey. It's a nice compilation book to look at and hold in your hands. I recommend it highly.

The soft cover book has crisp clear glossy pages. The reader in this case is my 6yr old and he wouldnt put it down.

Having had read my husbands actual graphic novel of this storyline; I found that the publisher of this book has condensed it into a easy to read format suitable for children of all ages.

The content of the book is a child friendly format that you just can not put down. Love this book.

We read this book at bedtime last night. I love the cover art on this book. Its far more striking than the Dr Ock book. The green is so vibrant and the pumpkin lanterns stand out heaps.

The story itself is again short and sweet. It's pretty well abridged, but gets the plot across just fine. Having been exposed to some adult Spidey stuff, I also realise that they cleaned up the story a bit for the kids. So it's not as tragic as it could have been told.

I agree with other reviewers, that the swapping of names for Spidey/Spiderman/Peter Parker was a bit much. It didn't confuse us too much, but it used up a lot of wordage that could have been used to describe the scenes better.

My 5 year old daughter was thrilled with this book. She enjoyed each page, and was thoroughly engrossed in the story. She loved the pictures. The pictures inside this book were more engaging than the ones in the Dr Octopus book.

The price on this book is just right. It's cheap and considering the book is short and involves a licensed character, I think its good value. We will be re-reading this for a long time to come.

Right, first let me say that deptite it's shortness, this 23-page-long introduction and defeat of the Green Goblin is most certainly a fun book! The cover looked great, I loved the web background, and the pose that Spider-man was in, and especially the picture of the Green Goblin, they all went well together. The pictures in the book all looked great, they were all nice and big, some of them taking up a whole page, and that meant that I got more detail in the pictures. The story flowed extremely well, it didn't have a lot of detail, but when I read it I could make the head and tail of each sentance.

The pictures matched the story nicely, it didn't say "the Green Goblin released Peter" and the picture showed Peter being killed, and I was also able to see which part of the story on each page the pictures were showing. The book wasn't very long, for when I said that the book was 23 pages long, I was only counting the pages that had the actual story written on them, but luckly the enjoyment level of the story made up for it, so I would say that it was neither too long nor too short. I think that this book is good for kids about 8-13 years old, for I think that anyone under 8 would have a little trouble understanding the story, and anyone who gets into their teenage years will lose interest in this kind of book.

As for the price, it fits the book like tights, it isn't like "The Amazing Spider-Man: An origin story", it has a little less detail and would have probably cost a small amount of money to be published, so $8.00 is perfect! If this book seemed like a good one, I can't wait to read the next one which involves Dr. Octopus! Have fun reading!

This is a glossy illustrated picture book with text depicting another of Peter Parker's adventures as the Amazing Spider-Man!

This book gets a much better rating than the Amazing Spider-Man vs Dr Octopus as it doesn't have any explicit violence in it! This book is much more appropriate to the age group it is aimed at and I would happily recommend this for any young reader who loves Spider-Man!

In this adventure Spider-Man falls into a trap set by the cunning Enforcers and is captured by the Green Goblin. He manages to defeat him and finds out the Green Goblin's true identity.

I did laugh at Spider-Man being called Spidey, but found it a bit distracting for him to be described as Peter Parker then Spider-Man and Spidey. ie in eight sentences "Spider-Man" then "Spidey" then "Spider-Man" then "Spidey" then "Spider-Man". It doesn't scan well and is a bit confusing.

Overall however an easy read and a great addition to the adventures of a fantastic Super Hero and your bookcase.
