My son has totally enjoyed reading the Boy vs Beast books over the past week, and I love seeing him engrossed in the books, and love it even more when these books lead to imaginative play after wards, as often happens after he finishes reading any of these. I would again recommend these books as a stocking stuffer or as a reward token for young boys in the 7-11 age group. The books are not to over-whelming, under 100 pages, which for some boys is great if they are not big readers. The text is large too, making it easier to read. The cover automatically taps into a boys imagination and grabs their attention. A fine feat for a boys book.
Both my boys have enjoyed reading these books, and after reading this one they decided to see if they could find more online. They highly recommend doing a google search of Boy vs Beast, according to them there is a great website that any lovers of the series would really enjoy and they spent quite some time on this website too.
Definitely a good series, and a really great price too.
These books were great, better than the actual chapter books. I liked they way the books told me all about the beasts in Beastium, and how they explain what beasts and pests there are, where they thrive, how to stop them, and what to use, like we are really going to fight the beasts ourselves! I don't know whether this book is just to tell you more about the beasts and pests that have been fought and not fought by Kai masters, or whether it's to help you fight in the online game, I will have to find out when I have some free time.
The covers were awesome, I love the circuit background with the Boy VS Beast logo and Beastium land symbols scattered around it, it looked really cool and caught my eye. I have no favourites with these two, they are both equally enjoyable, and they are both ones that I would be happy to read often. I found the pictures of the beasts quite nice, and the books even told me about beasts or beast evolution stages that I have never read about, in fact the new beasts and gadgets were better than all the old ones!
I would say that 8-11 year olds will have the best chance of reading these books and enjoying them, but going over or under the age group might be taking a risk. I think that $10.00 a book is a good price for these, not too expensive, yet not too cheap. My overall feelings towards this book are all positive, the kids will love them. Enjoy!

The Afterlife is only the beginning!
The world is not the way it was. The dead have risen and constantly attack the living. The powerful Church of Real Truth, in charge since the government fell, has sworn to reimburse citizens being harassed by the deceased. Consequently, there are many false claims of hauntings from those hoping to profit.
