Miss 4.5 said "its so cool, its so funny, it makes me want to laugh, I love it. Pigs that go camping are awesome."
Personally I really enjoyed reading this book to her over and over again, its our new favourite bedtime story book. The only downfall is the price.
Its a fun story about the family's big camping adventure and how they overcome a few bumps in the road.
I would recommend this book this book for all ages, even my Miss 9 enjoyed reading it.
I think I may have a new favourite book series for kids! Miss 4.5 has declared this book "COOL!" and while not yet able to read it to herself, she loves sitting down with it and looking at the pictures and making up the story to go with them.
From the point of view of the adult constantly bugged to read it again and again and again and again and....*ahem*, so far it hasn't been to bad reading. It gets big ups from me for being Kiwi first of all and for having references that any Kiwi, adult or child, can relate to. The geek and old f*rt parent in me also loves the use of words. I know it is probably seriously dorky but I loved that there were "big" words used. Instead of over simplifying for kids it gives them a chance to expand their vocabulary. Rhyming books are always a hit and even Master 1 was riveted by the words and pictures until distracted by a peg.
The only mark down I gave it was for the price but then to be fair I am a cheap skate and still pass out at paying as much or sometimes more for kids books as I pay for mine. That said, it's a series I would actually consider adding to. Two thumbs way up (from me AND Miss 4.5!)
