From Scholastic, this book gives you the horrible truth about totally disgusting things from crawling Cockroaches to healing Leaches, so be prepared. I found the book extremly disgusting, in fact it was so digusting that I hardly dared to look at it or read it in fear of throwing up. There were some sections of the book that told about gross and dangerous creatures that can bite you, sting you and sometimes kill you, so I'm hoping I don't bump into them.

I thought the most disgusting thing the book showed me was that humans actually eat toasted Ants covered in chocolate. Another thing that was disgusting to discover was that as well as Ants, some people eat creepy crawlies like roasted spiders as well, and so I'm never doing anything like that in my life. The good side to the book was that it taught me about animals, plants and horrible Human habits that I didn't know about before.

The book was in a way useful because it's information helped me learn that Venus Fly-traps and Pitcher Plants use digestive chemicals that turns the prey into liquid to feed itself. This book is 50% gross and gruesome, but 50% enjoyable and bearable, so feel free to hesitate on buying it, but it still OK to read.
