This printer is a great home printer - and perfect for the needs of a family. We can print things out for our children, knitting patterns for me, photos for the grandparents, as well as having the ability to scan and photocopy - always a plus when you suddenly realise you need a copy of something to send in!

The printer is easy to setup - though does need an additional cable - which had us stumped for a bit! But easy to buy and find - and not expensive. Still, would be good if Canon supplied that in the first place!

It supplies well printed documents, but if you use the high quality - it does take a wee while, and uses a lot of ink. However, nice to have the option.

You get the Canon quality, which is better than average for Inkjet printers.

The cartridges seem to last a decent amount of time, and conveniently tell you when they are running low - though don't replace them straight away - as we were able to get 20+ more pages out of the cartridges.

This printer is compact, multi functional and for the price, a great deal - well done Canon!

If you're in the market for a home or small office printer then I think this Canon Pixma makes a great choice. It has a quick and simple setup, decent scan quality and comes at a low price (or so i'm told). However do not expect this to print fast as the high quality image settings does make you feel as if you have been standing around for some time waiting for your printed pages. I also found the display a little confusing until I read the manual! Overall I would definitely recommend this to someone who wants a no-frills printer that gets the job done! You get the Canon quality, which is better than average for Inkjet printers.
