Pest Xit is an innovative generation of environmentally safe, electronic pest control device to assist in getting rid of pests in the home or office. Pest Xit products use pioneering transducer technology utilising ultrasonic sound as a weapon against pests and rodents, driving them out of where we live or work without harming them.
Features
The Ultrasonic function emits ultrasonic sound waves to achieve discomfort with sound. Humans and household pets cannot hear the sound waves. The "HI-LO" Ultrasonic-frequency selection offers more effective control in domestic settings. Larger mammals are more sensitive to lower ultrasonics, and higher ultrasonic sound is more disturbing to small pests or insects.
• The high frequency targets cockroaches.
• Low frequency is used against larger mammals such as mice and rats.
The Electromagnetic function emits electromagnetic pulses in the electric wiring of your wall to make the living habitat of the creatures living inside the wall uncomfortable. That forces them to leave the area of discomfort.
• No harmful toxins, sprays or chemicals are involved or used
• Effective against rats, cockroaches, mice and other vermin
• Safe for children, pregnant women and domestic pets
• Simply plug it in your electrical socketPestXit has the highest safety standards, including GS Mark TuV Standard (Germany)
• Suitable for average 3 bedroom home, open plan office, warehouse, and any area with wall cavities.
Product reviews...
I have to be honest and say this was one of the hardest reviews I've had to write. Plug it in and leave it - there isn't much to play with here.
Since we don't have a mouse problem I couldn't try it out on mice. It didn't scare the cat - but then it is designed for rodents so one would hope it didn't cause the cat to move out.
I set it for insects and because this isn't horribly bitey insect season, it was hard to tell. We've not had a significant problems with cockroaches and besides, those we had seemed to move out because our house was too cold - so the only vermin we could try it against was ants.
Now ants, like in many NZ homes are a real problem. We used to have them always circulating looking for something. On the table, on the floors, any mug left around - was soon a heaving mass of ants.
I plugged this in and left it to do it's work. Within a few days there did appear to be fewer ants marauding around the place. Within a week there were even fewer ants around. It seems that ants don't like being around this most of the time, but if anything sweet is dropped, then the ants put up with the noise and congregate anyway.
It does seem to reduce the ant problem, but I would be hard-pressed to say it managed to eliminate the ant problem totally.
