I'm not much of a short stories person I must admit... I just usually have issues with something in the way they are written. This time I was pleasantly surprised. There were some stories that I didn't like, which is to be expected, but there were plenty that I did. There was definitely a mix of love and war tales, with some combining a bit of both. I'm a big fantasy fan so these were right up my alley, but anyone who isn't might not have so much fun. Also a passing interest in the DragonLance world would be helpful as these particular short stories are well and truly DragonLance tales.
I had to read this book a story at a time because it is really quite a long book, but I found that that gave me time to assimilate one story before starting the next. It also made the book last that much longer.
My two favourites were; Raistlin's Daughter, a strange tale with an even stranger outcome; and Silver and Steel, a story of how love and war saved the world from the Dark Queen.
Well worth a read to anyone who, like me, enjoys the fantasy world.

Product image for The Pirate Company: On the Trail of the Golden ToucanThis is the story of Tom Applecross, who found himself all alone in the world.
Till he met up with a gang of pirates.
Some would say, Any port in a storm.
Others would say Abandon ship while you've still got the chance!
Tom, rightly or wrongly, saw it as his lifeline.
