I think you would get a very different review from Miss 4.5 and Miss 6 than what I am writing but I am the wise old member of the family that can see both what appeals in The Disney Palace Pets: Sticker Scenes book and it's shortfalls. I had told my girls that we would do this book on Sunday. Miss 6 took me literally and got up at dawn and while the rest of us were still asleep started placing the stickers at the correct places in the book. This demonstrated a couple of shortfalls. Firstly several of the sticker were quite difficult to remove from the sticker sheet without ripping. The other was that they weren't designed to be repositional.
This book is intended to be used as a sticker book once only and then revisited later as storybook. I managed to selvage most of the stickers and sat down with Miss 4.5 who is the big Palace Pets fan and we did the stickers in about 20 minutes including reading. At only $7 it is a great stocking stuffer or an activity book to bring out on a long haul flight or hospital visit.
The story itself is a page per pet and only about a paragraph of text. You could read any one page or the whole book which ever suits your mood or time limitations. Each page is a biography on each pet. Now that the girls have done the stickers I don't know if they will return to read the book again but it was worth it for the novelty. It worked well as a bribe (or reward) to get them to do their chores.
