A few years ago I willingly and unashamedly participated in Tupperware parties. The other ladies and I oohed and aahed over the latest Tuppnology the Tupperware lady demonstrated to us. We laughed when she laughed, and wanted what she sold, she had me hooked.

There were prized items within the range, and the Tupperchef Thin Spatula was lauded over it's inferior counterparts on the market due to its' ability to stir hot dishes while they were still on the stovetop! *gasp* We were warned however, that whilst the blade was heat resistant to 220oC, the handle was not, so don't lean it on the hot edges of pots and pans etc, while you go powder your nose before hubby walks in the door from his 9 to 5 work day expecting dinner on the table and an impeccably clean house.

Tupperchef Thin Spatula was one of the more affordable items in the catalogue, and ohhh so practical which I love, and so I bought just the one. Honest.

Four or five years of Tupperware Anonymous later, and I'm still very happy with this purchase. The only thing I've noticed is that the blade has discoloured slightly from all the meat sauces it's stirred, but even then it is very slight, which I'm ok with. This spatula has seen many a raw cupcake batter, and even more meat dishes. The blade is a kind of 'just right' flexible - not too thin, and not too stiff - and cleans up the batter bowl or sauce pan beautifully. I think it's fantastic and it really has paid for itself time and time again, particularly when stirring hot dishes (like making caramel) that I'd never attempt putting other spatulas into.

It is a bit heavier than what you'd expect for its' size, but actually feels sturdy rather than cumbersome. The handle still looks brand new however, so the Tupperware lady's advice was bang on.

I don't buy a lot of tupperware I find it grossly over priced but if I were to recommend anything from tupperware this spatula would be among the list. I know it seems strange to be so excited over a spatula but this little beauty truly is great.

Obviously as far as spatulas go this is a lot more expensive but it is real hardy and solid. You would be surprised how heavy it is for a spatula but despite that it is still really comfortable to use. I haven't had any problems with it going out of shape from heat when using it when cooking in a frying pan and despite the fact I have cooked tomato based pasta dishes the spatula hasn't discoloured at all which I love.

I have to admit my daughter really doesn't like me using this spatula when I do baking because it literally leaves no traces of the cake batter left on the sides of the bowl. It is excellent at picking up every last trace of the mix and leaving the sides of the bowl practically clean!

I have used so many things while cooking mince, or stir fries and everything seems so big and chunky food goes flying out of my pan often. Then I heard the tupperware spatulas can be used for hot as well as baking, I couldn't believe it, I really couldn't, I had to test this myself. I needed a new spatula anyway as my old ones kinda died.

I brought one of these thin ones and thought I would give it a go to make a mince dish, and it was great food didn't go flying out of my pan, its easy to hold and nice and strong, the white plastic part is also strong with a bit of flexible to it which is great. Just don't leave it sitting on the hot pan cause even though its awesome lets face it plastic plus too much hot equals melting.

This is my most used utensil in the kitchen, I use it for everything hot meals, baking, getting the last bits out of cans, jars for cooking. it had a already build in hole to hang or you can just put it in the draw like I do. The blade is removable to give it a wash inside every so often, it isnt that easy to get off which makes it great as you know it wont fall off in dinner.

Want something that last get one of these ones, for the price of it that will save you lots after having to buy one over and over again cause they keep snapping or the rubber is falling off. Because you can use this in hot and cold it saves having So many utensils in the draw.
