I always had pet budgies, and cockatiels growing up and never gave them much thought really until I was responsible too look after a pair of budgies that I adopted when I was an adult and since I didn't really have much of an idea of what to do with them, what they needed etc as my parents had always looked after them when I was a kid.

Anyway through research I found out that in the wild birds would use small pebbles and grit to help them digest their food properly, because they don't have any teeth to break up their bird seed, so when they are in a cage as someone's pet this naturally does not occur so grit needs to be added into the cage so the birds can eat the grit.

So in a panic I was straight down to the supermarket to have a look through their pet supply products and was super glad to see they stocked Vita Pet Bird Grit and since then I have not looked back and I have 2 very happy and very healthy budgies. I add 1 teaspoon of grit to their treats bowl once a week and this allows my budgies to gobble it up which allows their gizzard to perform at peak condition to break down their bird seed.

I can rest assured it is a quality product as Vita Pet only uses premium quality products. One box lasts my 2 budgies months and months so it is a small price to pay for peace of mind that I am giving my budgies the best care possible and thanks to Vita Pet I am able to do this.
